House Woes

I've had a few offers on my house already. One of them from a couple of weeks ago seemed pretty promising. They verbally agreed to the offer through their realtor, but when we drafted up a contract they decided not to go through with it. There's currently another offer on the table right now. They came in a little lower than what I want, but it was the strongest opening offer yet. I countered them to just about halfway between my asking price and what they offered, I hope this one works out. I am not excited about the thought of paying heating bills on an empty house all winter, so once again, fingers crossed. By five tonight I'll know whether they accepted, rejected or countered my offer.

In other news, BP built quite the dog house for the dogs. They have issues staying inside alone. One will pee inside, the other one chews. The solution is to leave them out, but with the weather getting colder, it isn't safe for them to be out all day. The halfway solution was this.
The wipe your paws mat has already been destroyed by above-mentioned chewer. The inside has wall to wall carpet securely glued down to avoid destruction, insulation, and a HEATER that BP mounted to the wall. Yes folks, our dogs have a heated, insulated, wall to wall carpeted house. The door has also been reinforced so now it is double thick and the cuts are opposite from eachother to keep the heat in better. We snuck up on them to see if they were using it, and they were! Yay!

In other news, the wedding is less than three months away. The major things are planned, but not the nitty gritty details. We should probably get to thinking about those things soon. I've also started dieting (almost two weeks ago). So far so good, but mostly I'm just trying to lose the 15 pounds I put on since we've been dating. Lesson one for LL to remember, you do not have to keep up bite for bite on what your 6'4" bicycle riding beau eats. Lesson 2, even though there are a million other things to do, get your hiney out there and exercise. I haven't been so good about lesson 2 yet. Hopefully soon!

That is SOME dog house! I love the mat. Too bad it has already been destroyed. BP did some awesome work, and I think it's great that he added a heater. ;)

It's too bad that the first offer on the house fell through. Fingers crossed for a better outcome today!

Good luck with the weight loss. I really need to work on #2, as well!

Lisa, it sold!!!!!!!! Well, the first part anyway, as long as nothing falls through with financing, etc. I'm sooooo excited!
