Today was a pretty good day. BP was out of town and usually I struggle to find things to do while he's away. I grew accustomed to always having someone to do things with pretty quickly. But today was a beautiful crisp fall day and I didn't want to waste it. I leashed up the dogs against my better judgement and took them here for a couple hours of hiking.

I say against my better judgement because they are STRONG, both in physique and will and tend to pull me around. The start of the hike was rough. They were full of energy, there were a lot of people and animals around and it was everything I had to keep them from completely taking me for a walk. After a while they tired out and it was a pretty good time from then on. I'm going to try to do that more often with them because it's good for them and because I enjoy how mellow they are for the rest of the day.

Fingers crossed that everything works out and the house sells!
Beautiful picture! I'd love to visit Alaska sometime. Maybe in the summer, that is. Don't know that I'd survive any other season after living in Vegas for so long. ;)
I didn't actually take that picture, I got it off of the Internet. The leaves are yellow there right now! I agree, Alaska is best visited in the summer!
